Moreton Hall is an aspirational, joyous and nurturing school, where belonging and ambition are intrinsically intertwined. Ours is a school that is innovative, creative and sparky on one hand, and incredibly warm, familial and empathetic on the other.
Moreton nurtures in its pupils a grounded self-confidence, the willingness to give everything a go and the self-belief to tackle any challenge head-on. Our focus on building character fosters a can-do approach to life shared by all Moretonians. Our community is underpinned by mutual trust and our pupils are free to be their authentic selves, ready to explore and achieve their ambitions.
We set high academic expectations and expertly guide each pupil to develop intellectual independence alongside emotional intelligence. As a result, our pupils enjoy superb academic success and secure places at the nation’s most competitive universities. All disciplines are equally valued and our pupils progress into a diverse range of fields, from national and international sports teams to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and Oxbridge.

Co-Curricular Activities: Our extra-curricular programme is a vital part of life at Moreton Hall. From societies and entrepreneurship, to Spoken English, the Rylands Diploma, and Sport, Art and Drama, Moreton offers a multitude of opportunities for pupils to stretch themselves outside the curriculum, to find new interests and learn new skills for life. The value of these activities support their development and helps shape their future, building confidence, resilience and teamwork.
We encourage all our pupils to take advantage of Moreton’s extensive co-curricular programme. Our culture of innovation infuses our pupils with a willingness to move out of their comfort zones and an eagerness to try something new.
Societies and Activities: Our extensive list of societies and activities reflect Moreton’s ethos of innovation and discovery and is a critical part of what Moreton has to offer its pupils. From ecology and current events to science and outdoor adventures, Moreton caters to a wide range of interests.
Skills for Life: In addition to traditional programmes such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award and the Combined Cadet Force, Moreton offers several bespoke programmes that ignite interests and build skills for life, ensuring that Moretonians strive confidently into their future.
Sports: We encourage all pupils to embrace new experiences by engaging in a wide variety of sports, including lacrosse, hockey, netball, equestrian, archery, squash, kayaking, swimming, tennis, athletics, and cricket. Through weekly PE lessons, after-school activities, and regular fixtures, children are supported in trying new challenges and discovering their individual interests. Inclusive opportunities, expert coaching, and a supportive environment help every child to grow in confidence and enthusiasm. At the heart of our programme is the drive to achieve – whether that means reaching personal bests, mastering a new skill, or working effectively as part of a team. We celebrate progress at every level, from first-time participants to competitive athletes, encouraging all pupils to push their boundaries and take pride in their accomplishments.
Boarding: At Moreton Hall, our boarding houses are more than just accommodation; they’re built on the principle of family, a central tenet that guides our entire community. Within this supportive, family-like environment, we deeply value the individuality of each pupil. Our holistic approach to education places pastoral care at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that every girl is nurtured, supported, and empowered to discover and develop her unique qualities, aptitudes, and personality, ultimately becoming the best version of herself.
Belonging to a house is a fundamental aspect of school life for all our pupils and our houses foster a strong sense of community and provide a supportive environment for everyone. Understanding that families have different needs, we offer a flexible approach to boarding.
Health Centre: The school’s onsite medical centre prides itself in delivering high standards of care and promoting the life skills required to manage all aspects of health. The in-patient facilities for pupils who are unwell are overseen by a registered nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, during term time.
