Drogheda Grammar School has been providing first class education to local, national and international students for over 350 years.

Drogheda Grammar School is a co-educational, multi-denominational school, located on Mornington Road, Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland. The school ethos states that every individual is of value and has something to contribute and the school encourages students to achieve excellence in the classroom. The school educates boys and girls for life and welcomes pupils of all religious persuasions. It appreciates the contribution that all religious denominations make to the school community.

Extra Curricular Activities: Our aim at Drogheda Grammar school is to do our best to provide an enriching and supportive educational experience for all our students. Understanding that school is more than just the classroom for many of our students and teachers we aim to provide a varied extra- curricular programme after school.

Library: DGS Library is a vibrant welcoming space located at the heart of our school campus and is open throughout the school day.

The focus of the library is to create a space where students can read and study comfortably with access to a range of books to support the curriculum as well as leisure reading. The collection is continually being developed to ensure it remains fresh, relevant and caters to all reading interests and levels.

Chess Club: Drogheda Grammar School chess club is a growing club with 15 loyal players. It is a unisex team comprising of students from 1st to 6th year. Our team is always happy to welcome new members from all levels of experience or those who are just curious and eager to learn. Our friendly team will show you the basics and help build and strengthen your skill set.

Green Schools: The Green-Schools Programme is a fundamental initiative that encourages young people to engage with their environment by giving them opportunities to actively protect it. It begins in the classroom, extends throughout the school, and ultimately inspires positive change in the wider community.
