Drawing on our rich history and surrounded by inspiring school grounds, we take pride in our educational and pastoral excellence. Crucially, we go beyond just delivering an excellent pastoral and academic education. We aim to open minds through building curiosity, open hearts by teaching compassion, and foster courage in how pupils use their learning.

Library: Our library houses a collection of over ten thousand books. Reading flourishes at Hazelwood, and our up-to-date fiction selection reflects this. Non-fiction books cover both the subjects taught throughout the School, and leisure interests.
Indoor Box: Our innovation suite is called ‘The BOX’ and it is a hands-on learning space that sparks pupils’ creativity with a range of technology tools. Following a “try new things” teaching approach, The BOX encourages exploration through projects and play. Pupils might build a model of Earth’s layers on the Lego wall or create a stop-motion animation of a flower’s parts.
Sport: Here at Hazelwood School, sport is an integral part of children’s day-to-day life, and it is our aim to ensure that all children leave Hazelwood having found a passion in a chosen sport. Pupils at Hazelwood are active within sport for between 4.5 hours and 6 hours per week, across games, PE and/or swimming.
