It is important to acknowledge the changes the school has gone through in the past and, undoubtedly, the exciting changes that it will go through in the future. At the heart of everything is our commitment to provide every pupil with the foundations to flourish.
 
In 2028, Ipswich High School will celebrate 35 years at Woolverstone Hall and 150 years as a school. Over the last 140 years, our school has continued to grow and provide a tailored education for our students, emphasising the individuality of each and every pupil that studies here.

 Boarding: We consider our award-winning boarding as ‘boutique’ as our boarding houses are small with exceptional, high-quality facilities from the stunning setting to the beautifully designed interiors. Home for our boarders is The Dairy House and The Barns, our award-winning boarding houses, located within the school’s stunning campus. Just a short walk from the main school, our boarding houses sit in a safe and idyllic setting, looking out over the beautiful Suffolk countryside and private woodland.

Our Facilities: Our final aim is to provide a platform for our most able performers, in all of our sports to thrive. Whether that be through our scholarship programme, mentoring and offering further support to those pupils on performance pathways. The school has exceptional sports facilities including a 25m indoor swimming pool, AstroTurf pitches, multiple rugby and football pitches, indoor and outdoor courts and a fitness suite. With an 88-acre campus, many sports take place on-site as part of the curriculum and Enrichment Programme. These excellent facilities help our pupils achieve their full sporting potential, whether during PE, games lessons or extra-curricular activities that are embedded in our school day.

Sport: Our sports programme provides great breadth. Within our PE curriculum children will learn a variety of swimming techniques, play badminton, perform gymnastics, and compete in athletics and tennis. In Games, boys will play rugby, football, hockey and cricket and girls will play hockey, netball and cricket. While the majority of our fixtures are in our games sports, we have excelled recently in Triathlon and Pistol Shooting and we have a competitive Swimming Gala Program.
